Extra Coffee Time

Lately I am having a lot of dreams set on cemeteries...much more than usually.  Today I had more energy than usually.  The Taiwanese cigarettes Long Life turned out to be much worse that Japanese Seven Stars.  I think it is due to lower nicotine content.  Ordered Brink on sale: not because I feel it will be a good game, but because I don't feel like playing old games.  However, I found an old CD with Settlers: Heritage of Kings...maybe I will replay that later.  Surprisingly, I don't feel like playing last Settlers, even though I did not finish playing it.  Something wasn't memorable about it.  Lately, all games...suck.  Today in news I saw a video of a UFO flying over BBC building.  It was boring: this stuff is not happening either...  Nothing good grows here anymore.  Nothing that would inspire faith or trust.  Even religious people (of all religions) are starting to look like hopeless optimists or really young people who do not get too deep into their own religion.   I guess this stagnation is transferred onto economies all over the world.  No sort of recovery is happening also, in every country.  Everything is pushed until its end and advertised as unending.  The weather was hot again, for third consecutive day.  The forecast does not predict any rains until the end of the week.  It will be dry and hot.

bills blues

The Empire Blue Cross and Blue Shield decided not to pay even for dental cleaning.  HMOs always have some excuse, even if the payments were discussed prior to provided services and already agreed upon.  Either way, I may end up paying out "extra vacation" soon.  Con Edison started the usual summer thing: overcharging.  I dealt with them several years in a row trying to explain that I can't be using more electricity than before, but it's always stays the same 200% increase.  That's how it will be until the end of August, then it will go back to 50% increase and by December I'll get the bills that reflect real use of electricity.

Philosopha4

It was a slow day at work.  However, I felt relieved when I was leaving for some unknown reason.  Maybe it was the Big Meeting that happened earlier.  At home I ate four bananas and two bagels with soy cheese for dinner.  Then I took a nap.  Then I accidentally found Object Dock free program on download.com and installed it.  It's great.
Philosophical break:
Life teaches us to appreciate itself.  It is not in comparing of what you have to what you could have had or what others have, but finding new enjoyment in what you already have.  Once you stop appreciating the little things that are available to you, soon you will be shown that you were not appreciative enough of what you were allowed to have.  As with a person who is complaining that his neighbors have caviar for breakfast, lunch and dinner and they can't afford it even once a week: soon they don't have money to buy even the bread...and starve...and think back to time when they had lots of bread and how great it was.  Or with someone who envies the powers of others that they don't have: they also don't have the responsibilities that come with power.  One day it's your local multimillionaire, the next day same person is your milkman, released on parole from prison, where they landed for crimes necessary to upkeep their multimillionaire's lifestyle.  However, it seems that sometimes the milkman is always a milkman, and multimillionaire is always a very rich man.  So this is not a law of life.  It's just a repeating occurrence.  The only real law of life known so far is that everything that lives eventually dies.  And it occurred to me that this fact is easier to accept for the milkman who is always a milkman, then for a multimillionaire who is always a multimillionaire.

it's all about peace

I have a one-sided headache.  Put some Tiger Balm-like stuff on it, seems to be better.  Ate fried cauliflower at grandmother's place.  Bought new stuff at Stop'n'Shop: a soy-based non-dairy ice cream.  It wasn't bad, but definitely does not taste like regular ice cream.  Got blueberry bagels, Veggie Slices cheese, some potatoes and large box of potato knishes (9 pieces).  Took a short nap earlier, so now I am not sure if I'll get any sleep before work.
No fun playing computer games with headache, so no gaming today.
The area around the city was closed in many places.  I wasn't sure what was celebrated, but I think it has something to do with allowing of gay marriages.  People on the streets looked happy, as if their long-term wishes came true.  I guess it's a sign of more liberty ahead.  I can't say I have an opinion on this subject: if it doesn't concern me, why should I have anything negative to say about our holidays?

дышу без вентилятора

Parent's computer is done.  I wasn't overly bright, had to call the customer service to get it started.  Had very tasty lunch.  I am downloading some demos from Steam, because I don't feel like buying Brink or Bulletstorm.  Not much to play... so I decided to play Tropico 3.  With cheats.  Just for enjoyment and passing of time.

on our unalienable right to perish

Just finished replaying Rise of Legends.  Now there is nothing to play.  Sad.  Already spent extra money on unnecessary purchases: i.e. extra cigarettes, desk organizer for work, security file box with lock...
Ate Persian rice with pesto sauce, garlic salt and soy cheese flakes.  Drank MSEC soda.  Tomorrow I will be working on parent's computer all day.  I read in newspaper that a comet will fly by Earth on Monday and there is little chance we will all die.  The irony in that is that if nothing flies by, we all will still eventually die of old age.  Earthly life is short, compared to eternity.

A new historic record every day!

Very draining day, busy too.  Ordered Italian Eggplant Parmegana without cheese and co-worker shared watermelon pieces.  Had lots of coffee.  To increase blood flow to the heart (when there is little blood left, heartaches start and it could turn into a heart attack if not addressed), I had a well-balanced dish of beets, carrots, blueberries, tomatoes, red apple and strong coffee.  It really helps, especially beets.  The weather was muggy all day and still is.  I feel great: another day survived.  I am setting a historic record:)

beah

I was wrong: my feelings of yesterday that something interesting and noteworthy will occur did not prove themselves to be valid and sound.  Nothing of the sort happened today.
Just came after work: not that busy, but for some reason I am very tired.  Boiling pasta...will use Pesto sauce given by parents, liquid margerine, soy cheese sprinkles...it was raining outside, now it's over.  Humid weather.  It's Rise of Legends time...

Coming together

It was a very slow day at work with not much to do.  It was unusual for Tuesdays, I would expect such day yesterday.  I had roasted potatoes for lunch, drank a lot of coffee and caffeinated beverages.  Babe Ruthed the right side a little, I can feel it.  That's progress.  At home had a sandwich with garlic soy butter and soy cheese.  Probably will eat yellow rice later, maybe fried bean curd with soy cheese, not sure yet.  Again did not win in lottery.  It's hopeless.  Never even close.  Not really surprised though.  Will be playing Rise of Legends, third and last campaign.  Saw reviews for Bulletstorm and Brink: not surprised at negative reviews, sort of expect it.  I will wait until prices drop again.  Checked cruises and vacation stuff: too expensive as well, increase in price in everything.  It would be wiser to fix my teeth instead.  Doubtfully I will gain anything from these vacations any more than I can see online.  Today I had a feeling that something interesting will be happening tomorrow.  Not sure what it will be, but it could be newsworthy.

long life

It was somewhat busy day at work.  I stayed over as interpreter tonight.  After work I went to Pho Viet Nam and bought vegetable spring rolls, Pho Chay without beef broth and much advertised Vietnamese coffee.  Good thing that I tried few sips of coffee prior to getting in the car, since I found it spilled upon arrival.  Today I finally got eye allergies on the right eye.  I feel its here to stay.
-------[12am]  Again fell asleep thinking it's a moment of rest.  Now I will go check the results of Sweet Million lottery, although I already feel like a winner: especially if I could get more sleep without dreams before the sunrise.

philospha3

I just woke up after hours of sleep.  More than likely, I will not be able to go  back to sleep until working hours.  It's not even 1am.
Life has been lately like an old debtor, who is hissing at you at every corner, just because he/she cannot afford to cover the debts or does not wish to part with borrowed money.  It's a perception.  Life does not owe anyone.  And all its debts are forgiven.  It was nice to have this life.  It will be dearly missed when it will be gone...  And now I'm back to Rise of Legends...

again, about nothing important.

I had matzo balls and something else at parent's apartment.  I refuse to eat the potatoes with mushrooms because they weren't done well this time.  Made a CD for mother, gave father a father's gift.  Then mother decided she needs a new computer and I went with parents to Best Buy where we bought Asus computer at good price.  I will be working on it, installing stuff next Saturday.  I was tired and they let me go for today.  I went to Super Stop and Shop, got soy cheese, blueberry bagels, Italian Everything bread, lemonade, small orange juice, creamer, garlic soy butter and Wise onion and garlic potato chips.  Upon coming home, I ate blueberry pie.  It had some traces of dry milk, I think, but I allowed it for myself today.  The rest of evening I will be playing same game, Rise of Legends.  I am almost done with the second campaign, in the desert.

Friday, June 17, 2011

It was a busy day at work.  I stayed over for an hour, even though there was no need.  At work I had mashed potatoes and rice with chick peas.  I also had a lot of coffee.  After work went to Met Supermarket and got two more 28Fl bottles of  diet Manhattan Special Espresso Coffee Soda, two cans of chick peas, very long thin french bread and half-a-pound of fried eggplant.  I ate the eggplant sandwich and a full french bread, now drinking MSECS.  Today in the news: Japanese scientists developed a new technology making meat out of shit.  That could really solve the world's food problems.  Hopefully, meat is the only food they will produce from shit.

Food, glorious Food!

I just had a large, long semolina bread cut in half, with Morning Star Veggie Medley gardenburgers (4), sprinkled with garlic salt, French mustard and "I can't believe it's not butter" spray.  It was delicious.  Now I am drinking a large bottle of Manhattan Special Espresso Soda  and smoking Winstons.  I continue to play Rise of Legends.  At Met Supermarket I also bought Boca gardenburgers, for later.

National Mango Day (unofficial)

Well, today I checked all forecasts predicting heavy downpours all day long and found that we had a light drizzle for 15 minutes, which changed to hot weather and sunshine.  Therefore, I consider my forecast to be more correct, since the picture on the left was created yesterday.  However, it may still rain later on, at night.  Workday was somewhat busy.  I had couscous, basmati rice and bagel with beets for lunch.  I had lots of coffee today, more than usually.  By the end of the day it got so hot I had to drink Mira mango juice. I got two more half-gallons of mango juice on a stand-by, so I am set.  Called the dental office that my parents advised me - they also don't take my insurance.  I have to change it, but I can do it only in November.  Accidentally found a great deal for trip to Iceland...will think about it.

Cinnamon Raisin Bagel and Coffee every morning

Travel plans were scrapped due to work issues, reservations cancelled.  Not a big deal, but slightly upsetting.  I will have to take a vacation later, maybe in November.  Took a long nap after coming home, the day was slightly draining.  An Average day, that what it was.  Regular day.  Every day is a regular day on average.  Got three disconnects in dreams.  At work ate potatoes and veggie egg rolls,  now ate chick peas can and a cinnamon raisin bagel.  Had two of those in the morning as well.   There was stuff to do at work...but not overly busy.    Parents insist on following up w/teeth fixing.  Weather was kind of hot. "UP" sucks.  Always did, always will.  Not that it much different from surroundings.  That's upsetting and downright pulling.  And that's sad.  I didn't know "sad" was a four letter word.  Now I do.

ring-shaped cracknels

It was a noisy, slow day that got hot in the middle after being quite cloudy and cool in the morning.  I did not eat that much, mostly cinnamon raisin bagel, drank mango juice and 5hour energy drink.  It had nervous moments, like leaving 10K worth of equipment in the car.  After event I had to put some air in my wheels, now it drives better.  Maybe it's the new gas though.  Just ate a can of chick peas, planning to boil some elbow pasta.  Bought Indian baby pickles - the tastiest.  I am slightly drained, slightly tired: will have Manhattan Special Soda and play Rise of Legends, since if I will take a nap, I will definitely not be able to sleep all night.  That's it, all the events of the day.

lots of stuff I wrote here...but did I write anything?

Woke up late and soon after went for a dinner with parents.  As usually, I was enticed with matza balls...  We discussed places to visit and concluded that you need money to visit better places, so we'll stick with what we can afford instead.  Parents are thinking about Las Vegas, I am thinking about Peru, Machu Pichu and Cuzco.  In fact, I already booked a hotel for beginning of September, but I can't find good prices for flight, so I may cancel it later.
Tomorrow is going to be a very noisy and maybe even nervous day.  Today it was raining most of the day, with some thunder.  I didn't see any lightning.  Highlight of the day was going to 99c and Up store on Avenue Z and Coney Island Avenue: I bought 40 bucks worth of food and office stationary, along with stuff for bathroom.  Rise of Legends is not that exciting, maybe because I played it when it just came out years ago.  I received refund for Rise of Nations CD that came without manual and without Product Key: basically useless.  Company was nice, refunded, did not write back but did not ask for returns.  Anyway, I may as well throw the game into garbage, it's useless without the product key and I don't know where I can get it from pirated sites since it's very old.

it's all about peace

It was a very busy day at work.  I even had to stay one hour over.  I have to work this Sunday, even it's more like volunteering.  Comes with a job.  Thank goodness for having a job, it's a great help in existing.  It was another scorcher outside: the sun was hot, the weather was hot, everyone was hot.  I had rice and roasted potatoes for lunch, but had to dispose of rice because it smelled very peculiar.  I did not wish to risk my health, it's not in its best shape right now.  Turned out I forgot to send the rental payment in the beginning of month and I expediently put it in the mailbox today.  Just had chickpeas.  It's so hot, I don't think I'll eat anything else until my air conditioning unit will lower the temperature of apt.  Or I should just chug the rest of the mango juice in the fridge?
Yesterday installed and played Rise of the Legends.  Will do the same later on.  Luckily, my cigarettes came in.  I am happier now.  Life is not so bad, it's pretty good.  I just wish it would never happen to me again on this planet.  Otherwise, I am satisfied with everything.  From my whispers to God's ears....what?
By the way, I keep noticing Blogger putting Mormon videos in my ads space...that's weird.  What if I am not a Mormon?  Should I be promoting some other faith?  Well, it doesn't matter anyway, just weird...who knows, maybe tomorrow they will put some extremist agenda as well...should I contact them?  It's too hot, maybe later.  It's just too hot right now, I don't want to think too much.

money, money...

The dentist was honest and said that two teeth that were of concern to me were not recoverable and must be pulled.  I decided not to do it at this time. I got a free cleaning and a complimentary tooth brush with toothpaste for sensitive teeth, as a hint that I need to brush my teeth regularly.  He suggested dentures: don't want them, chew fine.  The other options were four dental bridges: I can't afford them.  He will call my insurance and if they co-pay 75%, then I will trade my vacation for my teeth getting fixed.  Otherwise, I will go on as is waiting for time when dentures are a must.

decided to get a new title for blog...

It was an easy day: there was stuff to do, but it was very evenly spread all over the day.  Tomorrow I am taking a holiday day off (Shavuot) and going to the dentist.  Yesterday I was bored of playing Evil Genius and napped a lot, so maybe I will continue playing tonight.  I purchased a MegaMillion lottery ticket.  I don't think it will win, but I am giving it another try.  I was looking for my page on google and stumbled upon someone else's page with the same (almost same) title...  I wasn't particularly fond of the content, so I decided to rename my blog.  I have to choose a name that could be hard to copy.  Because I have uniquely boring, not interesting, pointless, mediocre and mundane stuff on my blog and I don't want anyone else to take credit for my consistent lack of original thought, don't want it to be politicized even in title likeness.  Did I mention that I had onion and potato large ravioli yesterday?  They were not so tasty, out of the box, but what can I expect without eggs and butter?
For lunch I had potato wedges and white rice, with lots of coffee and Diet Coke.  Today I received a book in the mail: a small Acupoint Pocket Reference by Blue Poppy Press.  I also received Father's Day gift for my father: Jabra Cruiser 2 bluetooth in-car speakerphone, because he is always on the phone and he has to stop to call, since he is a driver.  To avoid tickets, and to fulfill his love of talking on the cell phone...  Also went to Baby Gap and bought clothes for Baby Shower the day after tomorrow: very pretty, I think.

Sunday, June 5, 2011

Oh, saint...

I went to see the dentist for an appointment: came in on exact time, the office was closed, nobody responded to calls.  Checked the working hours: it stated the office works for at least another hour.  Called back in 20 minutes: no response.  Weird business they are having.  Good thing the teeth are not aching right now.  I'll call for another appt tomorrow, maybe I should try for the weekday: hopefully, they won't skip the town.  Played Evil Genius most of the day, had some progress, eliminated one Super Agent.  If Steam would not have issues I would continue with my last save...but I guess it's good for the eyes.  Bought several tank-tops and a shirt with a tie at Telco.  I didn't need a shirt...but it was on my way to pizzeria, where I got three vegan pizza slices.  Bought coffee for work, for the moments when cafeteria is closed and alternatives are just taste nasty.  I think I'm going to bed earlier tonight.  There was no rain as predicted.  The weather was average, sunny.  I've noticed a new psychological nuance about me: if there is nothing to do, I just go to bed and take a nap.  Or just lay there.  That's sort of new.  Otherwise, things are the same as always.  Tomorrow is work.  Then computer at home.  Food intake, food outtake... then bed...and hopefully not to violent dreams... on and on... what a blissful life.

Life goes on...

Visited parents, ate lots of food, very good quality, with matzo balls.  Helped them out with computer/printer related issues.  Got an annual autoinspection: fast, convenient, nice.  Bought fried seaweed at Chinese Supermarket on 86th street, ate it.  Also ate maki rolls in seaweed. Tomorrow is a trip to dentist.  Played Evil Genius for 5 hours straight, got tired of it, going to bed.  Installed updated NVIDIA driver.  Hopefully, will be able to sleep and have 'Ok' dreams... That's it.  LIfe's been satisfactory so far...and I have nothing to complain about.

all is quiet on WF

It was an exceptionally slow day at work with not much to do.  I had to stay over for half an hour due to late calls though.  Volunteers helped somewhat, more stuff needs to be done next week.  I wish it would be done sooner, but thanks for that.  At work I had rice and mash potatoes, coffee and ice coffee, caffeinated sodas.  Since there was not much to do this day, I was checking out vacation possibilities.  Due to recession, what used to be well-priced trips are now expensive.  I don't think I can afford to go to the same places that one-two years ago I thought I could go to without breaking my budget.  Most likely I will spend all my vacation money on fixing my teeth.  Although, the powers that are may pull them out in mysterious ways again, since they need oil 'n' stuff.  Either way, I am in good spirits, enjoying hot weather, thinking of cold climate, drinking lots of coffee, preparing lots of elbow pasta.  Planning to play Evil Genius.  I may go to auto station tomorrow to do vehicle inspection.  More likely than not...

island of sumatra

Slow day at work.  Ate double white rice, lots of watermelon pieces, received two new games that I played few years before, but did not have the hard copy of (direct download): Rise of Nations and Rise of Legends.  Still playing Evil Genius.  I got a haircut.  There was no thunderstorm yesterday as predicted.  The weather today is very hot all day.  After work I ate just a bowl of blackberries: yesterday I skipped dinner, than got hungry very late at night and had a full bowl of elbow pasta - woke up with a belly.  This will be ordinary yet interesting evening.  My headache tells me so.

all the news of the day...yes, regular boring and non-eventful

It was not a busy day at work, but it was a very hot day.  Weather was muggy, many said that the weather forecasters predict a big thunderstorm tonight.  So far, it's still muggy, no rain.  Maybe it will rain late at night.  At work I had lots of couscous, coffee, split pea soup, Diet Coke.  I advertised my liking of Manhattan Special Espresso Soda to the coworkers: apparently, they never tried it.  In the process we found out that there are other drinks available from the company, but I've never seen other products on the shelves.   After coming home, still self-inspired, I bought three large diet bottles of this drink.  After yesterday's session with acupuncturist, I slept like a baby from early evening to early morning.  I wish I could afford it more often, but it is unlikely.  I wanted to go to a barber shop, but the hairdresser was very busy with clients.  I will go tomorrow, if I won't forget to do it.  I think it's time for a trimming.
