new event in life

I am still playing Fallout 3.  The game is very good, no worse than Stalker series in its own rights.
There was a pleasant event in my life: a coworker advised me to purchase soy based cheese called Veggie Slices.  I did not expect them to taste so good for organic, vegan recipe.  The price was also not over the top.
Also, I heard today that it is possible to buy sprouts for sandwiches in supermarket in plastic wrapping.  Now I will try to find it.

I feel like on the day I discovered Japanese rice thing in seaweed wrapper:  I just ate two sandwiches with Veggie Slices, tomatoes, French mustard and lots of cilantro leaves.  Now I am drinking my favorite Manhattan Special Espresso Coffee Soda and smoking cigarettes...   In a minute I will resume playing Fallout 3 and accidentally found out looking through news online that there is another Fallout game (New Vegas) that's coming out soon.  That's HAPPINESS.

"Peace" on Earth

Forums gave a solution to Fallout3 problem: the issue was an audio file from ArcSoft - renaming it made the game play normally.  Now I can see that's a really good game.  Settlers 7 will have to wait.
I had some issues with jet lag, but it's gradually becomes better.  I still see dreams of Japan, for some reason.  I miss their coffee - it is significantly better than American coffee, and much more available.  The only comparable coffee thing we have here is Manhattan Special Espresso drink, cost 1.50, available in many supermarkets and grocery shops.  Also, I don't know what I am going to do once I will run out of Japanese cigarettes - I bought several packs of Peace with 21 mg nicotine, my usual brand has much less.   It's like coming down from addiction...  It's sad that the vending machines with cigarettes and hot/cold coffee cans cannot be available in New York on every street corner, like in Tokyo.  These machines would be vandalized in one night...I guess that's why it is not happening.

sadness at 6:05am

Started playing Fallout 3 - similar to Stalker, although no comparison.  The game stalls...crashes...I downloaded a patch, it improved slightly, still plays like a pirated disk, disconnects every 4-5 minutes.  I defragmented it, turned off all secondary services, but still it does not play well.  It's too bad, because I like this game.
I will try for another day, and if the enjoyment of game will be severely jeopardized by these issues, I will start on Settlers 7.  Hopefully, it will play on my computer well.

back from vacation

I just came back from a week in Japan.  It was very relaxing.  People there are very nice, even cute.  I enjoyed going there, the quality of life is much better than in USA.  If it was much closer, I am sure I would go there many times in the future.  Almost 14 hours on plane each way is hard for my nerves...  We were going back when the European air space was closed due to dust from Greenland's volcano.  Luckily, the flight wasn't canceled.  I brought many souvenirs from Mt. Fuji.  It was raining a lot and even snowed on the day I was leaving Tokyo.

Trip to Japan in three days...

I suddenly realized that I am tired and need a change of scenery.
Luckily, I predicted that will happen around this time, earlier than last year, and booked a trip to Tokyo, Japan.
I will stay in a 3 1/2 star hotel, superior single - it was on sale.  Tickets for airfare are cheap as well.  Good deal.  I got a medical / accidental death insurance - if the plane will plunge, my parents will get 100,000 dollars.
I've exchanged some money in the bank for Japanese yens.  53 thousand yens is only 600 US dollars.  Nice.
Bag is packed.  I'm somewhat excited.  Hopefully, there will be no problems with electronic tickets.
