deep thoughts come only hours after meals, not while eating.

Replaying Fallout3, since I didn't feel like finishing Dead Island.  Ironically, my sidekick is a ghoul named Charon, who looks like zombies that I was hunting in Dead Island.  Last week was very busy at work, but this week seems to be much less busy so far.  Bought two vegan slices of pizza at N&D, also got garlic nuts, two orders.  Have one order of garlic nuts left for tomorrow's breakfast.  Drank a lot of Liquid Ice.  Very good drink.  Computer is not functioning at desired levels, overheats judging by the monitoring programs.  Cut me off Fallout 3 trice in an evening.  I am not sure what I am doing here, but I'm determined to find out.

Real and Present...Pizza

So I played Dead Island for 2 days, more than 10 hours of gameplay. It's not a bad game, but it gets repetitive after about 7-8 hours, when you may find your first gun.  I am not sure I will have the same enthusiasm playing it tomorrow.    It was worth the money paid, of course, and will be available on Steam when I will need to release some steam.  My parents' computer wouldn't start and I fixed it for them like a true geek: quickly and knowing what I was doing.  My father drove me to and from their apartment, the whole thing took no more than 30 minutes.  Max was puking all day, I was told.  On the way back I bought three vegan pizza slices and an order of garlic nuts at N&D Pizzeria.  It took some strong will not to eat more than two pieces of pizza and to leave the rest for breakfast, since I had only a can of chick peas and a can of black olives for dinner.  Tomorrow will be the last working day of this busy week.

To Smoke or Not to Smoke

Installing Dead Island for second time...first installation was unsuccessful.  The week started out very busy: second consequent day I am leaving work much later with stuff on my desk to finish the next day.  Eating mostly chick peas from cans, Goya.  Ran out of Liquid Ice but the new shipment should arrive soon.  Drinking espressos, smoking a lot.  Cigarettes are not getting cheaper, just like everything else, so it looks like I'll stick to .99c chick peas for a while.

Nice Evening

Stayed over at work extra hour and a half and there was still stuff to do, but I decided to get home.  Replayed the toughest (for me) mission in Tropico3: Viva Tropico.  After 3 failures in a row decided to quit and it turned out to be bed time.
Ate a lot of pumpkin seeds: tried to save money on smokes.  Now my stomach is bloated.  I thought: what a great evening, it's so nice not to be incarcerated without any reason, life is not so bad.  Maybe it was an extra espresso, maybe I drank too much Liquid Ice energy drinks during the day.  Anyway, I don't feel like sleeping now and my copy of Fallout: New Vegas is still crashing.  Went on Castle Empire, but soon got bored and dropped it.   Also, I thought that there are at least 20 definitions of word "nice" in my head: from something really good to something really bad.  It all depends on the tone of voice, on emotion, on circumstances.  Same is with everything I guess.

computer cpu ok

I fixed my computer.  The Compustar specialist installed a new fan.  He told me that I've been upgrading my computer for years and next time I shouldn't even bother, rather buy a new one, since if it's not able to handle the load of games than it's because it's upgraded to the max for Intel 4 but it is still not enough to play some of newer games.  He said it should last me for another year or two and then I will have to buy a new one, because mine will be obsolete.  I was able to play L.A. Noire at better speeds and it's much better...sort of Mafia II from other side...not as good as MafiaII though.  Maybe if it was done by same team at 2K...  

CPU problems

Came back from delayed celebration of father's birthday in a Spanish restaurant called Sancho's.  Food was great: gazpacho, vegetable paella and mushrooms ajani(?) with garlic sauce.  It seems that my CPU is overheating, staying about 65 degrees Celsius without much programs running.  When Steam is working, it goes above 85 at times.  It is possible that I couldn't play L.A. Noire for that reason.  It was working fine just few days ago...  I have to take it to specialists soon, or my Intel 4 chip will burn out.  Maybe I need a new motherboard to support another fan.  Maybe the specialists can do some extra twitching...which I doubt, because I tried that with some programs.  I wish my system could take a liquid nitrogen cooler, that would be a surprise.

L.A.- No

Purchased L.A.Noire: what a piece of crap!  Besides playing at snail-like speed...well, that already makes it almost unplayable.  I thought I got a deal, purchased at 1/2 price on Steam, but now I feel I wasted 15 bucks for a lot of disappointment.  I deleted the game from computer, now I am redownloading and reinstalling it to see if it will make any difference.  Maybe at higher speeds it will be more tolerable.  Needed to play Nation Red just to shake it off...
Ordered Dead Island.  It should arrive in 5 days or so.  Hopefully it will be more entertaining.

Bulletstormy Evening

Came from the dentist and decided to wait until my lips stop getting puffy and numb playing Bulletstorm.  I bought it on sale, after hearing many negative feedback.  The game is much better than I expected.  We haven't seen such play engine in years.  I don't know why it gets so many negative reviews, I think it was great.  I finished the campaign today and played two Echos.  It seems like a reasonable time to go to bed, otherwise I might have finished the rest of Echos.  The game was exciting throughout it and that was well-spent money.  I am planning to buy Bulletstorm 2 when it comes out without waiting for a sale.

Rage over

Finished playing single-player Rage.  Multiplayer doesn't have anyone on, but some games are playable.  It was an ok game, but maybe making it more open-environment and more character customization would make it better.  Whole family is sick and we are not even celebrating my father's birthday - he also has high fever.  I am thinking of going to sauna tomorrow to heat my body, it usually helps with colds. Today I will just chill all day, recuperate from the cold.  My dental appointment had to be cancelled and was rescheduled.

Bought Tablet PC

Received my Zenith 4.0 Android tablet few days ago, seems to work, although it crashed and was restored to original factory condition yesterday. It is so much fun, I stopped playing Castle Empire and just play various free android games on it.  Actually, I stopped playing Rage, too, for same reason.  Android is exciting, although it's different from XP.  Clearly, I can play with it for a long time without getting too bored.  When I will download several more programs, this tablet could become a very useful everyday tool.  My father insisted on changing car oil even though computer is not saying it's needed, so he decided to take it to shop himself.  I have to take two huge bags of dirty laundry to laundromat today.  Yesterday, my parents insisted for me to see a mortgage specialist.  It looks like they are serious about finding me own apartment.  I don't want to get in more debt, but they think they are doing me a huge favor.  I couldn't care less, I was just tired of arguing and went along.  I really like my rented apartment.  I got used to it.  It would be sad to leave it, everything is so conveniently located outside.
