tis' the season to be jolly

Came from work, not overloaded day.  Had an espresso: mixed Lavazza and El Caribe coffees, turned out to be something like Dunkin Donut Turbo, which is excellent.  People on the radio discussed new taxes all day: what are they going to do, leave the city?  Eventually, after more new taxes will be implemented, with some more "can't smoke here, can't park there, taxes for calling 911" I will consider moving away from New York along with plenty of residents, but so far it still good.  Of course, New York 13-15 years ago was much better, with much more prosperity for everyone, not just rich...with less sicknesses, crime, terrorist watches, more healthier families, less divorce rates, less expensive everything, but I guess we get what we choose and we can't choose well.  But on the other hand, it's not New Yorkers.  It's all over the whole world., same thing in every country, up and down the equator.  I guess it's the trend of times.  I guess we are not going to "make it" after all.  Oh well, I just had Ramen soup (traditional) with Veggie Slices three soy cheese flavored flakes - now that's something to discuss!!  I also had some Wise Onion and Garlic potato chips, left over General Tso's tofu and some gyoza.  I just purchased an add-on to Mafia II: Jimmy's Vendetta, 10 bucks.  But I am still in the Ranger mode of Metro 2033.  Steam, being Steam, is stalling, once in 40 minutes.  That's acceptable, not as bad as Fallout New Vegas.  I tried to play it again: stalling all the time, no fun.  Noticed that Steam downloaded Team Fortress II Beta.  I used to play it, then Steam "updated" and the image on screen got split in half.  I couldn't play it after, even after reinstall.  Wonder if Beta version will play.  I'll find out over the weekend.  Life's been good so far, and today is Friday, December 10, 2010.  I've made it so far in life. Yeah!

I am not Locutus, borgs

Preparing pasta.  It was a busy day at the office.  Today I had more energy than usual.  It was snowing today, with some sunshine.  The weather was very cold.  I am heating the apartment with oven even though the central heating is on.  Got a discount in cafeteria today and a free Sierra Mist can: came for free with someone's order and they decided they didn't want it so much.  Received first holiday season cards from one of the departments, so I ordered cards online - should be here in a week.  Soon parents will stop by to pick up CD they asked me to make.  Even sooner I will be enjoying semolina pasta with new mushroom dry flakes spices.  Had a tea between my coffees today.  Life's ok.  Colder temperatures ahead - more energy.  Nice.

joe barbaro turned out to be the hero of the game

Got the laundry, visited mom/grandmom, bought stuff to drink and eat, most of it in 99c store on Avenue Z and Coney Island, rest in Fair Grocery.  Finished playing Mafia II: game was excellent, ending was horrible: Joe turned out to be Man of the Year, Vito, the main character, did not end on a noble note.  Checked Fallout4, even in windowed mode: same crap, game short-circuits every 15 minutes.  I can't enjoy it.  Too bad, I will keep it on computer, maybe check it in a month - hopefully it will be patched.  Clearly the issue is poor recognizability of NVIDIA graphics card.  I doubt it can be fixed on my end, it's up to game developers.  Maybe they should come up with the same standards in video cards and everybody will buy that, sort of like Windows OS.  I noted that Metro 2033 was downloading something in background: turned out there is a new Ranger mode, easy and hardcore.  Since I don't feel like unpacking GTA (Liberty City) - would be similar to Mafia II - I am making up my "thirst" for survivalist Stalker-Fallout type games by replaying Metro 2033 in a Ranger mode.  It's ok, doubt there will be any good games coming out in the next 6 months anyway, might as well prolong the pleasures of playing some good old stuff.  I noted that Arizona Green Tea with Ginseng and Honey is now sold in Extra Sweet kind: thought it wouldn't matter but the taste is better.  Now I'll finish my Hiltons with some Snapple and Metro 2033 and call it a night.

it's all about peace, as usual.

Took laundry to cleaners, visited parent(s): mother is absent, went to theater.  Drank two cups of tea there; usually I drink coffee.  Had three pastries I like, vegan: feel like I gained a pound just now.  Nothing to drink in apartment but Jumex mango nectar - I should have bought something to drink.  I might have extra small can of Mr. Brown coffee, however, have to check the fridge.  Will continue to play Mafia II.  I like the characters.  As if they were created with real people in mind.  It's been cold outside all day.  My father bought me an autumn coat - no better than mine, not many pockets, but supposed to be warmer than my windbreaker.  Ok, whatever.
Yesterday on the news anchors discussed NASA discovery of alien life forms.  It's all over internet today. Fucktards.  I ain't buying it.  First demons, now aliens.  They can shove this crap up their asses any day, I'm out of these games.  There was a world, they fucked it up, now it's going to die.  End of story. No need to worry.  It's all about peace.  And food, and rental payments.  And job.  I don't need this shit in my life or whatever is left of it.

whatever happens on Earth, stays on Earth

Played Mafia II : good game, easy, relaxing, very nice so far.  Steam stalls only once an hour+.  If Fallout 4 would be stalling like that, I'd be playing it now still.  I am eating couscous kasha, it's almost 1am and the benadryl is not taking any effect, so I can't fall asleep.  I will be tired tomorrow morning.  Now I ran out of Hilton Gold, smoking R1 and L&B (if any mayor reads this, they were bought abroad legally and taxes were payed over there included in price of purchase), but Hilton Gold were better, I should have ordered more of them...Well, I am still waiting for possible delivery of other brand of cigarettes, maybe they will taste better.
